#2022-032861/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 02-08-2022 at 0555 hours, officers responded to a reported male making threats with a gun and driving erratically in the parking lot of a gas station in South Seattle. Officers arrived and contacted the suspect in the parking lot. He was taken into custody after a short standoff. Officers’ investigation revealed that the suspect had nearly struck a pedestrian in the parking lot of the gas station. The pedestrian confronted the suspect about the poor driving and the suspect pointed a pistol at him. The victim feared for his life believing that he was about to be shot just before police arrived. The suspect was booked into jail for investigation of assault. The firearm was recovered and entered into evidence.
#2022-033314/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 02-08-2022 at 1535 hours, officers responded to an apartment complex in the 11300 BLK of 3 AVE NE for a report of a fire that had been started on the doorstep of an apartment unit. Officers arrived with Seattle Fire and observed a large char mark on the carpet in the hallway outside the involved unit. The fire had already been put out. A resident in a neighboring unit is well known to officers for calling in complaints about the victim unit. That resident is in crisis and believes that the victim unit is responsible for the issues in the complex. Officers attempted to contact the resident, but they subsequently denied any involvement in the fire. Officers investigated the scene, documented the damage with photos, and stood by while Marshal 5 completed their investigation.
#2022-033629/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 02-08-2022 at 2309 hours, a suspect entered a gas station, walked up to the register, and demanded money from the till. The victim stated that the suspect had a satchel, and that the suspect’s hand was in the bag gripping a gun. The victim could see the hammer of a gun. The victim gave what money was in the till. The suspect fled SB from the store. K9 was unavailable. Patrol searched the area with negative results.
