#2022-043680/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 02-20-2022 at 0623 hours, a patrol officer noted a large tent fire at 4/Cherry, the fire was too large for a fire extinguisher and Seattle Fire was summoned. The officer instructed occupants of the neighboring tents to move away due to propane tanks near the fire. SFD was able to put the fire out prior to it spreading to the building the tent was next to. None of the neighboring tent occupants had knowledge of how the warming fire got out of control nor who the resident of the tent was.
#2022-043696/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 02-20-2022 at 0712 hours, officers responded to an armed robbery call at a Queen Anne coffee shop. An unknown male dressed in ski goggles, mask, scarf, sweatshirt, and blue jeans displayed a handgun and stole an unknown amount of cash and a customer’s purse. Suspect was last seen walking n/b on 5 Av N. Area check negative.
#2022-043972/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 02-20-2022 at 1425 hours, officers responded to assist the Seattle Fire Department regarding a male who was reported to be throwing rocks at their emergency vehicle. When officers arrived, SFD identified the suspect and officers formed a contact team to arrest the suspect. Suspect physically resisted arrest resulting in a taser deployment. In the course of their investigation, officers located additional property damage related to the suspect. No officers were injured. Suspect was booked into King County Jail.
#2022-044315/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 02-20-2022 at 2237 hours, at a large encampment in the South Park area, a victim stated he was punched by a suspect who was trying to extort money from him. When the victim refused to pay, the suspect returned to the victim’s truck with a pipe, breaking the windshield. The suspect then pointed a gun at the victim, who reversed his truck into a fence. The victim heard 1 gunshot. Suspect was gone on officers’ arrival but was identified by responding officer’s investigation. No evidence of a shooting or other witnesses located.
