#2022-057499/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 03-07-2022 at 1421 hours, officers responded to 8 Ave SW / SW Cambridge St for a report of a road rage incident involving the suspect pointing a firearm at the victim. Officers arrived and contacted the victim who stated she had pulled out of a senior living facility where she works and entered westbound Olson Pl SW. Upon entering the roadway, the suspect vehicle began aggressively tailgating her vehicle and would switch lanes when she did. When the two vehicles arrived at a stop light at 8 Ave SW / SW Roxbury St, the suspect stopped next to the victim’s vehicle, drew a semi-auto handgun and pointed it at the victim. The victim was alarmed by the suspect’s actions and asked why the suspect was pointing a gun at her, which he replied in an unpleasant manner for her to “shut the f*** up.” He then continued eastbound, and the victim pulled over and called 911. After investigating, the officers located and contacted the suspect, and he was interviewed. The suspect was subsequently arrested and booked into King County Jail for Unlawful Use of Weapons to Intimidate Another. The weapon was collected and entered as evidence.
#2022-057910/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 03-07-2022 at 2305 hours, officers were dispatched to a shooting call in a parking lot near Rainier Ave S and S Charlestown St. Officers arrived and located a victim with a gunshot wound to his leg. Officers provided aid until fire arrived and took over. Officers determined that there was a large fight disturbance in the parking lot that led to one of the suspects shooting the victim. The suspects fled before officers arrived and were not located during an area check.
