Police Seek Suspects Who Shot Man in Face In Attempted Carjacking

Detectives are seeking two suspects who shot and partially blinded a man in a shooting in North Seattle, and police are now releasing video from the incident in the hopes it may help identify the gunmen.

On April 25th at approximately 1:50 a.m., the victim was seated in his car at a self-car wash at Northeast 145th Street and 15th Avenue Northeast. Two male suspects approached the car, opened the driver’s door and attempted to carjack the man at gunpoint.

The victim resisted and eventually the suspects retreated. As they fled, both suspects fired their handguns at the man, striking him in the face. The victim survived, but he was blinded in one eye.

The victim described both suspects as possibly East African, based on their accents.  Both wore masks and hoods, and the victim could only further describe them both as being under the age of 30.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects or has any information about this incident should call the Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000.
