#2022-145382/East Precinct/First Watch:

On 06-08-2022 at 1031 hours, officers responded to the intersection of S Dearborn ST / Rainier AVE S for a report of a semi that crashed into a bus stop with people trapped underneath. Officers arrived with Seattle Fire and started rendering aid to victims that sustained minor injuries. Seattle Fire assisted a female that had her leg trapped under the semi-trailer. Using wedges, they were able to lift the trailer enough to extricate the female, who suffered serious injuries to the leg. She was transported by Medic 1 to Harborview for further treatment. Traffic responded to assist with traffic control and Code Enforcement arrived to inspect the trailer. A Drug Recognition Expert was called to the scene and the incident was screened by Traffic Collision Investigation Squad.

#2022-142942/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 06-05-2022 at 2026 hours, officers responded to a disturbance in the 1500 block of Eastlake Ave E, as a subject was pounding on large apartment complex window. Upon contact, the subject began running southbound in the middle of Eastlake Ave E, impacting traffic. At one point, the subject began banging on the doors to a Metro coach, however the coach operator refused to open the doors. The subject continued running at passing vehicles, causing a significant risk to the safety of himself, as well as passing motorists. After multiple attempts to get the subject out of the roadway using verbal tactics, officers took the subject into custody for Pedestrian Interference w/ ITA criteria as a danger to self and others. While taking the subject into custody, he resisted, and sustained minor abrasions to his arms and hands. Subject was sent to HMC for an ITA. Type II Use of Force completed.
