On 06-09-2022 at 1107 hours, officers responded to a call at a structure collapse at Humphrey Apts. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the scaffolding used by window washers had broken and partially gave way with one occupant on board. Thankfully the involved had a safety rope which kept him suspended mid-air until officers and Seattle Fire could make entry into a third-floor apartment and pull the worker to safety. Officers maintained the scene until SFD could safely lower the scaffolding all the way to the ground. The worker sustained a minor injury and was treated and cleared by medics on scene.

Residents of the house called 911 and reported they were involved in a disturbance with employees of a nearby church/daycare (located in the 08300 block of Renton Avenue South).
