#2022-179349/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 07-12-2022 at 0056 hours, officers responded to reports of shots fired. Upon arrival officers located evidence of a shooting in the intersection of 5 Av S / S Donovan St. While conducting an area check, officers located 5 vehicles, 1 residence, and 1 commercial building with damage. No injuries were reported. Several witnesses observed a vehicle fleeing from the area immediately following the shots. Incident was screened with GVRU.
#2022-179886/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 07-12-2022 at 1431 hours, a caller reported evidence of a shooting was located at 7 AV S. and S. Cloverdale. Officers responded and collected it. The caller believes the evidence was from a shooting that occurred last night/early today. The calls were crossed. No property damage and/or injured persons located.
#2022-180119/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 07-12-2022 at 1837 hours, officers were dispatched to an assault. The victim stated that the suspect called her homeless and kicked her in the head. The suspect then punched her with closed fists. The victim believed the suspect targeted her because she is transient. Officers conducted an area check but were unable to locate the suspect.
#2022-180141/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 07-12-2022 at 1904 hours, a caller reported 5-6 shots heard in the area of 29 Av SW and SW Brandon St. He later told officers that two people were firing rounds out of a car (driver side as well as the passenger side). Nothing was hit. No property damage and/or injury reported. Evidence of a shooting was recovered at the scene. Only description was a Toyota Camry. No suspect description.
#2022-180192/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 07-12-2022 at 2013 hours, officers responded a vehicle vs. boat collision. Upon arrival, it was determined the driver of the vehicle was the owner of the boat and no damage was sustained. Upon contacting the driver, probable cause was obtained to arrest the driver for DUI. The driver struggled with arresting officers and type II Use of Force was used to take suspect into custody. No officers were injured. Suspect booked into KCJ for DUI.
#2022-179255/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 07-12-2022 at 2237 hours, officers responded to an assault call. Upon arrival the victim was located and had sustained a knife wound to the back. It was later determined that the victim sustained a punctured lung from their injury. Suspects were located, taken into custody without incident, and booked into YSC.
