#2022-189241/East Precinct/Second Watch
At 1410 hours, officers were on patrol when they identified a stolen vehicle. Officers confirmed the stolen vehicle and kept the vehicle and suspects under observation. While attempting to coordinate a vehicle stop and arrest, the suspect vehicle fled at the sight of officers. Officers began checking the area for the vehicle. The suspect vehicle was located abandoned in the area of 17th Ave and E Howell St. While in the area, officers were directed to the north where three suspects were observed fleeing on foot. Descriptions were provided and officers flooded the area. All three suspects were located a short distance to the north and ran in multiple directions from officers. Officers pursued them on foot and apprehended all three suspects. The driver suspect was booked into King County Jail for the investigation of possession of a stolen vehicle and obstructing.

At 1816 hours, officers responded to a report of shots fired at a homeless encampment in the 100 block of Belmont. Witnesses reported that a fight broke out between campers and one of the combatants brandished a gun and tried to pistol-whip another person. As the suspect began walking away, he fired a shot at the victim. Officers responded to the area but were not able to locate the suspect or the victim. Officers did speak to witnesses and recovered firearms evidence from the scene.

At 1710 hours officers responded to a report Officers responded to a report of shots fired at 23rd Ave S and S Jackson St. A woman at that location had placed an order for food and was waiting in her car out front with her children. A vehicle driving by slowed down and an occupant fired five rounds at the woman and her children. Their car was hit with multiple rounds and the driver’s window was shattered. Police believe the suspect was attempting to target another person in the area at the time of the incident. Officers helped clean broken glass out of the victim’s vehicle before she and her children returned home.
#2022-189436/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch
At 1750 hours police received a report of a disturbance involving a man, a woman, and a firearm at a gas station in the 4800 block of Fauntleroy Way Southwest. The man and woman left the gas station and, shortly thereafter, the woman fired one round from the gun. The parties involved in the incident fled the scene. Officers did not locate any injured victims or damage.

At 1412 hours, a woman was at a gym in the 3900 block of Southwest Alaska Street when a woman approached her, called the victim a racial slur, and pepper sprayed her. Officers identified a possible suspect and are investigating.
