SPD detectives are investigating a July 28th assault at a First Hill homeless encampment as a homicide after the victim later died from his injuries.
On July 28th, around 1 pm, police responded to an assault at an encampment in the 1300 block of Hubbel Place. Medics transported the victim, a 32-year-old man with a head injury, to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The victim died from his injuries on August 1st.
