Police are investigating after two people were injured in a shooting in Yesler Terrace early Monday morning.
At about 1:30 a.m., patrol officers heard multiple shots fired near Boren Avenue South and East Yesler Way. Responding officers contacted two shooting victims in the 100 block of Boren Avenue South. Police began first aid and then transferred care to Seattle Fire Department medics upon their arrival. Medics transported a 41-year-old woman in stable condition and a 63-year-old man in serious condition to Harborview Medical Center.
According to witnesses, the suspect fled in a vehicle before police arrived.
Officers processed the scene for evidence and recovered more than a dozen shell casings.
