#2022-245806/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 09-14-2022 at 1409 hours, officers and Seattle Fire personnel were contacting a downed subject at the bus stop on 3rd Ave at Pike St. While treating the subject, the suspect walked up to the scene and grabbed fire’s AED and attempted to flee with it. One of the fire personnel tried to retrieve the AED, but the suspect pushed him hard enough to send him reeling backwards into the SPD officer on scene. The suspect attempted to flee the area but collided with an SPD sergeant that had just arrived. The suspect tripped over a bike that was parked nearby before the SPD officer on scene took him to the ground. The officer and sergeant on scene took the suspect into custody. Search incident to arrest recovered a significant amount of fentanyl pills that were subsequently placed into evidence. The suspect was placed under arrest for Robbery, Assault, and VUCSA.
#2022-245975/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 09-14-2022 at 1659 hours, a woman in crisis attempted to abduct a young child while the child’s mother and grandmother were distracted with cleaning and remodeling their business. The grandmother noticed the suspect had entered the business and tried to lead the child away. She was able to stop the suspect before the suspect left with the child. Police continue to investigate the incident.
#2022-246204/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 09-14-2022 at 2214 hours, officers were dispatched to shots heard near SW Roxbury St/18 Av SW. Upon arrival officers located evidence of a shooting in the roadway. Rounds struck an occupied residence causing damage. Officers searched the area for injuries and damage to additional properties and did not locate anything further. A vehicle was seen speeding away SB on 18 Av SW but was unidentifiable. Incident was screened with GVRU. Patrol processed the scene.
