#2022-248341/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 09-17-2022 at 0151 hours, officers responded to shots call in 100 Block 23rd AVE East. No property damage or victims located. Evidence recovered.

#2022-248377/North Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0242 hours, reports came in of a subject who fell off a structure at Gasworks Park. Officers and Seattle Fire arrived and pronounced the female dead upon arrival. The female, along with some friends, were reported to be climbing on the old refinery structure in the middle of Gasworks Park when it appears she fell through an opening in the walkway roughly 50 feet above the ground. This area is fenced off and closed to the public, however people periodically break through the fencing and climb on the structure anyway. No foul play suspected.

#2022-248333/East Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0143 hours, dispatch began receiving multiple calls of shots being fired inside the parking lot of Rancho Bravo, located 1001 E Pine St. Officers arrived and located evidence of a shooting and vehicles damaged. Later, dispatch updated that a victim was transported by POV to HMC. The victim had non-life-threatening injuries and was interviewed by GVRU detectives.

#2022-248415/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 0413 hours, officers responded to a burglary in which two suspects attempted to steal a coin machine from inside a bank. The suspects removed the machine from the bank, but we were not successful in loading the machine into a pickup truck. The suspects fled the area as officers were responding. Further investigation determined that the pickup was an unreported stolen.

#2022-248562/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 0855 hours, officers responded to an apartment building in the 12000 Block of 33 AV NE to assist Seattle Fire with a possible HAZMAT incident. An unknown suspect sprayed an unknown substance in the 1st Floor hallways that caused residents to have trouble breathing. It was later determined that the substance was most likely OC spray. No injuries were reported. SFD vented the area and left the scene. The suspect is still outstanding.

#2022-248735/South Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1257 hours, a subject climbed up the shelving racks in the garden center at a hardware store located near Rainier Av S/ S Bayview St. He was about 30′ off the ground and was able to access the roof to the entrance of the store. The subject tied a garden hose to the rafters and repeatedly placed it around his neck and threatened suicide. After negotiation efforts by SPD and MHPs, the subject jumped down after a nearly 27-hour standoff and surrendered. He was booked into the KCJ.

#2022-249237/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2326 hours, officers responded to Rainier Av S and S Kenyon St to investigate several calls of shots having been fired. Evidence of a shooting was recovered from the front of an apartment building. A resident of the apartment building and a convicted felon was identified as the suspect, placed into custody, and later booked into KCJ. A search warrant was executed on the suspect’s apartment. A ghost gun was recovered along with ammunition and several accessories.
