Detectives are investigating after a man was shot and killed in the Chinatown-International District on Thursday afternoon.
Just after 2:00 p.m., police responded to the intersection of 13th Avenue South and South Lane Street for reports that someone had been shot. Arriving officers found a man with a gunshot wound and attempted life saving measures, but Seattle Fire Department medics declared the man deceased at the scene.
Members of SPD’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to process the scene for evidence.
Homicide Detectives also responded and will lead the ongoing investigation.
