Police Arrest Man Who Stole Tools, Opened Fire on Construction Workers in Crown Hill

Police have tracked down a man who opened fire on a group of workers last month when they confronted him about stealing tools at a Crown Hill construction site.

In that incident, on September 26th, construction workers noticed a man stealing $5,000 worth of tools from the bed of one of their pickup trucks in the 1200 block of NW 83rd Street.

When they attempted to confront the suspect, he fired a handgun toward the construction workers and fled in a silver Mercedes sedan. No one was injured in the incident.

On Sunday, October 2nd, an officer spotted the sedan near North 125th Street and Stone Avenue North and contacted the man inside. Police determined the man was the suspect from the September 26th incident and arrested him.

Police booked the man into the King County Jail for robbery.
