#2022-265492/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 10-04-2022 at 0517, officers responded to a caller who wanted to go to HMC for treatment. Responding officers located the caller. Caller disclosed they were a victim of a Malicious Harassment bias crime that occurred the previous night. Caller said they were threatened by a neighbor who used numerous derogatory slurs towards her and acted like they were going to strike the victim. Victim feels that they were harassed and threatened.

#2022-265661/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 0955 hours, a 45-year-old male was driving a 2011 Honda Accord southbound on Aurora Ave N in the 11100 Block. The driver rear ended a parked dump truck and trailer. The driver who suffered at least a fracture to his arm was transported to HMC as was his 48-year-old passenger who suffered multiple fractures. The driver was suspected to be DUI so a DRE was called to evaluate him at HMC. A blood draw was later completed after a warrant was issued. The driver remained at HMC for further medical care.

#2022-266336/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2126 hours, officers and Westwood Village Emphasis Units responded to the Ross Dress for Less at Westwood Village for a report of an armed robbery. Loss Prevention Officers reported they had attempted to contact a suspected shoplifter who had gathered 300-400 dollars-worth of apparel. This suspect began to leave through the “employees only” area that led to an emergency exit. LPOs contacted him at which time he pulled a handgun and pointed it at them telling them to “back off” which allowed him to run from the business, get into his vehicle and flee the area. An area check was negative. Robbery was contacted and screened the incident. Patrol processed the scene.
