#2022-278843/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 10-17-2022 at 0310 hours, Patrol and Harbor responded to a report of a suspect untying a vessel in a marina. Officers arrived and found the suspect in the water wearing only a t-shirt. Suspect told officers he was inspecting the hull for explosives, and that he suffered from PTSD. Harbor and Seattle Fire rescue swimmers entered the water and pulled the hypothermic male out of the water. Male was transported to HMC via Medics. Vessel was returned to its slip undamaged.

(# Not Included)/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 0450 hours, a suspect entered a convenience store in the 900 block of NW Leary Way. The suspect produced a handgun and robbed the store of cigarettes and soda. The clerk called 911 reporting a description of the suspect and his last direction of travel. Officers arrived and located the suspect a few blocks away. The suspect was detained without incident and a firearm was recovered from his person. Multiple witnesses confirmed the correct suspect was detained. The suspect was transported to the robbery office and will be booked into KCJ after interviews.

#2022-278910/South Precinct/First Watch:

At 0549 hours, Seattle Fire requested SPD for traffic control and report for RV fire. All occupants escaped unharmed. RV owner resident believes it was started by a man known to her. Fire Marshal responded and found no indication of arson. Fire Marshal notified SPD’s ABS. CSO was called to assist victim with temporary housing.

#2022-279043/West Precinct/First Watch:

At 0855 hours, officers responded to the EOC for a report of a shooting victim. Victim walked away, apparently upset he could not get Seattle Fire’s attention for aid. Victim refused to stop for officers and walked north on 5th saying he would walk to HMC, however the victim collapsed in front of KCJ. Officers rendered aid before transferring care to SFD. SFD transported to HMC. No scene located. Victim uncooperative. Screened with GVRU.

#2022-279133/South Precinct/First Watch:

At 1029 hours, two citizens passing by called for Seattle Fire for a report of a down person. When SFD arrived, they observed the male subject face down on the front stairs of a residence. SFD reported they observed blood on the male’s clothes and then observed a stab wound to his abdomen. Officers attempted to interview the subject, but he refused to cooperate with any questioning. SFD reported that the subject informed them the incident occurred directly across the street on 15 Av S. Subject refused to provide any further information.

#2022-279146/South Precinct/First Watch:

At 1039 hours, reporting party (RP) calling for Union Pacific Rail Yard to report a non-employee male running in the yard covered in blood saying he was being chased by a person with a knife or a gun. Subject was contacted & escorted from the property. No other people were observed or found on the rail yard property. Subject was ITA’d to HMC via AMR.

#2022-279278/East Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1305 hours, a suspect took a juice bottle from a store and when confronted by store manager, refused to pay. The suspect exited store, bypassing all points of sale and the store manager followed him. Store manager continued to tell the suspect he needed to pay for the drink for half a block before the suspect turned around and faced the manager, pulling up his hoodie, and revealing a black semi-automatic pistol in his waistband. The suspect told the store manager he wasn’t going to pay for the drink and “I will shoot you if you keep following me”. Store manager then returned to the store and flagged down officers. The suspect was located two blocks away and arrested without incident. No firearm was recovered. K-9 track did not locate any firearm.

#2022-279649/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2034 hours, a victim arrived home from shopping and was carrying in groceries from the car when she heard someone behind her. Victim turned around to see a suspect handing her a pen and paper who demanded her debit card. The victim refused and the suspect pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at the victim. The victim screamed when she saw the gun and the suspect fled from the scene on foot. K9 responded and tracked for the suspect with negative results. Incident was screened with Robbery Unit.
