#2022-277838/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-16-2022 at 0001 hours, officers were near M L King Jr Way S/S Bayview when they heard a volley of gun shots just north of their location. Both East and South units searched the area and located the scene just north of 28 Av S/ S Massachusetts St at the dead end. Officers located evidence of a shooting that was marked, photographed and collected. Officers processed the scene. There is no suspect description at this time. The incident was screened with GVRU.

#2022-277860/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0037 hours, officers responded to the 4700 block of Delridge WY SW to a report of multiple shots fired. Multiple callers reported a silver sedan fleeing the area. Officers located evidence of a shooting and processed the scene. GVRU notified.

#2022-277924/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0237 hours, the owner of a hair salon was throwing an afterhours birthday party with a hired DJ. Two suspects not known by the family joined the party and one of the suspects punched the DJ and suspect 2 pulled a firearm from his waistband. The DJ/victim observed the handgun and fled the party in fear for his life and called 911. Officers responded and contained the business. An officer that responded to the scene hailed the occupants to exit the building. The suspects were positively identified, and they were taken into custody without incident. Officers searched the business with owner’s permission and located the firearm that was involved in the incident. One suspect was booked for assault 4 and the other suspect was booked for felony harassment and UPFA.

#2022-278137/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 0953 hours, officers responded to Green Lake Park for possible deceased body in the water. Seattle Fire arrived and retrieved the deceased person. The victim was identified as a missing person. ME responded and no foul play suspected at this time.

#2022-278298/South Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1337 hours, officers responded to a call regarding a male who fired a handgun in the air. The 911 caller reported that he was visiting a family member when an unknown male approached him and demanded his belongings. The 911 caller reported that a struggle ensued at which time the unknown male displayed a handgun and fired 1 round into the air before fleeing the scene northbound.

#2022-278390/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1545 hours, officers recognized a felony warrant suspect on Aurora AV N. Officers contacted and arrested the suspect. Type 2 force was used. The suspect, a convicted felon, was found to be in possession of a handgun and narcotics. Suspect was booked into KCJ.

#2022-278425/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1703 hours, a robbery at knife point occurred at the 7-11 off Avalon WY SW. Two suspects had apparently been trying to get the victim’s attention, but she left. When she returned to her car, there was an orange cone on her car. The two suspects approached her again and this time one of them pulled a knife on her. She was able to get into her car but as she was driving away the suspect opened her car door, reached in, and stole a bag before the victim drove away. Suspects not located. Robbery notified.

#2022-278605/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 1948 hours, an unknown suspect knocked on a victim’s rear door, self identified as “SPD”, waited briefly while the elderly resident got up to answer the door, then fired one round through the already broken glass of the rear door. The round narrowly missed the elderly resident and penetrated a kitchen cabinet and wall and entered the victim’s bathroom, shattering his bathroom mirror. The glass of the rear door had been shattered earlier in the day by an unknown suspect who had thrown a large rock through it. The case was forwarded to Homicide as an Assault 1.

#2022-278732/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2254 hours, a victim returned to her parked vehicle to find an unknown male rummaging through it. This suspect had located a firearm stored in the vehicle. The victim confronted the suspect and the two physically struggled while the suspect was in possession of the firearm. The suspect ultimately fled the area with the firearm.
