Detectives investigating after a man was shot following a car jacking in the Eastlake neighborhood.
Shortly before 1 PM Monday officers were called to the 2300 block of Eastlake Avenue East for a report of a man shot following a carjacking. When officers arrived they found a 38-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the lower leg.
The victim told officers an unidentified man had stolen his car and shot him before fleeing. While investigating this car jacking, police discovered that the suspect was also wanted in an earlier armed carjacking in Bellevue.
Detectives with the Seattle Police Department Robbery Unit are now working with the Bellevue Police Department as this case moves forward.
Update:
Kent Police officers located and took the suspect into custody following a brief pursuit.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
