Police Investigating Shooting at Ingraham High School

Update @ 3:00 PM: The victim, an Ingram High School student, has died.

Update @ 11:40 AM: Family reunification has begun. Students will be released one classroom at a time to the auditorium, where families can sign them out. If a student is 18, they will be allowed to leave as long as they check out. Transportation plan details to come.

Update @ 11:10 AM: Officers have arrested one person in connection with this incident and continue to investigate.

Seattle police are searching for the suspect in a shooting at Ingraham High School in North Seattle.

At 9:55 a.m. Tuesday, police received reports of a shooting at the school, in the 1800 block of North 135th Street. Officers arrived and formed contact teams to immediately enter the school. Police found one person with a gunshot wound and provided aid until Seattle Fire Department medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police secured the school and continue to search for the suspect, who is believed to have fled the campus. 

With the site secured, SPD is working with Seattle Public Schools to set up a reunification site at Meridian Avenue North and North 135th Street. Police and SPS are also developing a transportation plan for students who cannot be picked up at the reunification site.
