#2022-305900/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 11-14-2022 at 1030 hours, approximately 2200 Seattle Public School students gathered at City Hall to exercise their 1st Amendment right, speaking out against gun violence. They marched around City Hall, to Westlake Park, and back. Patrol task force and motor units accompanied to facilitate safety. Minor graffiti damage was discovered on the south side of City Hall. Students dispersed on their own and the event concluded at approximately 1330.
#2022-289009/South Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1316 hours, Office Depot employees (located in the 1700 block of Airport Way South) called 911 and requested an individual be trespassed from the store. The employee stated the male had robbed the store last month, while armed with a hatchet (Robbery Det sent out a bulletin 11.2.2022). Officers arrived and contacted the subject, who had also shoplifted today. The subject was walking away from the store while carrying the stolen merchandise. The store employee positively identified the subject as being the same person who’d committed the armed robbery. Officers arrested the subject. Robbery, Lt and FIT were notified. A Type II Use of Force Investigation was initiated. Subject was transported to HMC for further assessment prior to being booked into KCJ for Investigation of Robbery and an outstanding warrant.
#2022-306472/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2219 hours, officers responded to the report of a robbery in the 900 block S Cloverdale St. Officers arrived and spoke with the victim who stated the robbery occurred approximately 30 minutes prior to arrival. The victim stated two males approached him while walking his dog, one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and pushed it to his chest demanding all his belongings. Once the victim gave all his belongings to the suspects they ran away on foot. The victim returned to his residence and contacted 911.
