On 11-12-2022 at 1430 hours, officers responded to the 3000 block of NW 71 St on report of a house fire. On arrival, the first responding officer learned of a victim still inside the residence. Seattle Fire Department personnel were able to locate a downed victim in the residence and successfully resuscitate him on scene. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition at the time of the incident. The initial investigation revealed that an adult male victim was downstairs in his residence working on his washer and dryer while his family was upstairs. The family reported seeing black smoke rising from the basement. They exited the house and called 911. Fire Marshal responded to the scene for follow-up investigation. ABS was notified.
