#2023-007625/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 01-08-2023 at 1936 hours, officers responded to the 300 block of 1 Ave S to a report of a robbery. Two unidentified males armed with handguns entered and stole money and merchandise from the occupied business. It is unknown at this time whether the suspects fled on foot or in a vehicle. Officers processed the scene.
#2023-007628/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 1942 hours, officers responded to a report of a male pulling a gun on security at a local grocery store. Security reported that a male and female entered the store and began putting items in a black bag. They stated that they exited the store without paying. Upon being stopped by security, the male brandished a handgun and pointed it at security. The female suspect was detained several blocks away and admitted to being involved. She was taken into custody without incident. Stolen items were located in the bag she was carrying. The male with firearm was not located.
#2023-007760/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2308 hours, officers responded to the 500 block of 3rd Ave to a report of a resident strangling a staff member with a telephone cord. Officers investigated and discovered this suspect also assaulted another victim, possibly motivated by bias. Seattle Fire treated the staff member at the scene. The suspect was located, arrested, and booked into KCJ for Assault 2 and Hate Crime Offense.
