#2023-050996/East Precinct/Second Watch:
On 02-22-2023 at 1305 hours, multiple people called in stating they had heard shots fired in the area of Boren AV/ University ST. The callers believed there were between 5-7 shots fired. One of the callers observed two males in the area but didn’t see them fire a weapon. The caller did see one of the males pick up a shell casing and leave the area in an unknown direction. Officers conducted an area check and were able to locate some evidence.
#2023-051178/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1700 hours, witnesses heard shots being fired in the 1700 block of SW Dawson St. One witness observed the shots being fired into the air from a moving vehicle. A second vehicle was also seen following the first and believed to be related. Officers conducted an area search and located evidence of a shooting in the 1700 block of SW Dawson St. The scene was processed, and evidence was collected. No victims or property damage were located. GVRU was notified.
#2023-051136/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1928 hours, officers were dispatched to an auto theft in progress. Officers developed probable cause for attempted Theft of Motor Vehicle. While being transported to King County Jail, the suspect kicked the doors of the patrol vehicle which caused property damage. The suspect also damaged the light bulb and wiring in the backseat of the patrol vehicle. While waiting in the holding cell area of KCJ, the suspect spat on the transporting officer. Suspect was booked into King County Jail for theft of motor vehicle, malicious mischief, and assault in the 3rd degree. The spit landed on the officer’s shirt/torso area, so an exposure packet was not completed. Assault on officer screened with Lt.
