Seattle Police received a 911 call about an armed robbery in Lawton Park neighborhood early this morning.
Police arrived after 5:30 a.m. in the 3200 block of 20th Avenue West and contacted a clerk who reported a man pulled a gun on him as he demanded he hand over the cash from the registers. The man with the gun threatened to shoot the clerk if he did not comply.
The male suspect was seen leaving the location eastbound on West Dravus Street.
About twenty minutes earlier, police responded to another armed robbery in the 1500 block of Northwest Market Street, where the male suspect had a similar description. This incident also involved the suspect pointing a gun at an employee while demanding for cash from the register.
Robbery detectives will be investigating both these cases.
