Seattle Police responded to a collision involving two vehicles early Saturday morning in the SoDo neighborhood.
Officers arrived just after 1:30 a.m. and located the two vehicles near the intersection of 4th Avenue South and South Massachusetts Street. Seattle Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and extricated a man trapped in his vehicle.
The 27-year-old suspect male driver sustained life-threatening injuries from the collision. SFD transported the man to Harborview Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
The other involved vehicle, a rideshare with six occupants including the driver, all sustained minor injuries from the collision but were all transported to HMC for further evaluation.
Traffic Collision Investigation Squad responded and will be leading the ongoing investigation.
