#2023-086013/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 3-30-2023 at 1146 hours, an officer arrested a trespasser who refused to leave the complainant’s property. During transport to the North Precinct, the suspect began spitting on the inside of the patrol car. Once at the North Precinct, the suspect spit in the face of the officer. The officer went to a medical facility for further evaluation/treatment for bodily fluid exposure. The suspect was booked into KCJ for assault and malicious mischief.
#2023-086080/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1310 hours, the occupants of a gold van either dropped or placed a cardboard box of consumer fireworks in the street. The resulting detonation caused minor damage to several parked cars. SPD’s ABS responded to assist and will handle the follow up investigation.
#2023-086137/South Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1409 hours, South Precinct officers responded to a report of a shooting near 40th Avenue South and South Willow Street.
Witnesses told police the occupants of a white SUV fired shots from the vehicle before fleeing. Officers learned two subjects ran from the scene, but it was unclear if they were injured or involved.
Officers located three parked vehicles with damage from gunfire and collected evidence from the scene. The white SUV and the two subjects were not found after an area check.
