#2023-093929/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 4-7-2023 at 1325 hours, officers responded to the Seattle Convention Center for a report of a male who was possibly en route and planning on “shooting up” the convention. As officers were responding, a second call was received reporting a shooting at the Convention Center where a large anime event was happening. Police arrived and found no evidence of a shooting and no indication of any disturbance. It was determined both incidents were “swatting” events. Convention Center security was advised of the situation.
#2023-094494/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2336 hours, officers contacted the victim of a robbery at a nearby hospital. The victim was pistol whipped multiple times and robbed of his bicycle at Cal Anderson Park. The victim believed the suspect would kill him, and was able to escape after he threw a knife at the suspect. The suspect was not located.
