Police arrested a suspect Wednesday night following a lengthy investigation involving telephone harassment.
For the past three months, call takers and dispatchers at Seattle’s Community Safety and Communications Center have taken multiple calls from the suspect who threatened whoever answered the 911 line. The threats continued to escalate as the suspect included prominent city, state, and federal politicians.
An officer assigned to the South Precinct initiated an in-depth investigation and established probable cause to arrest the suspect for multiple felonies. Because of the suspect’s criminal history involving felony crimes, members of SPD SWAT served the arrest warrant and took the man into custody at his apartment.
Officers transported and booked the 44-year-old suspect into the King County Jail for multiple counts of felony harassment.
