(Updated) Pedestrian Killed in Hit and Run Fatality

Detectives have located the vehicle involved in this case but are still seeking the public’s help in identifying who was driving the vehicle at the time of the collision. Anyone with possible information should call the Traffic Collision Investigation Office at 206-684-8923.


UPDATE: 5/19/23, 11:55 a.m.

Additional evidence has been collected in this case. Although SPD detectives originally believed the involved vehicle was a Mitsubishi Outlander, it has now been confirmed that the involved vehicle was a Nissan Rogue, likely model year 2013 – 2019. The vehicle is black with chrome handles and accents. There is heavy grille and hood damage. The attached photo is of the actual vehicle from surveillance cameras. UPDATE: 5/18/23, 3:00 p.m.

Seattle Police detectives have identified the make and model of the vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run collision that occurred in the 400 block of Queen Anne Avenue North on May 17th, 2023. The vehicle is a black 2019-2020 Mitsubishi Outlander and will have front end damage. Anyone with possible information should call the Traffic Collision Investigation Office at 206-684-8923.

Police are investigating a hit and run collision which killed a pedestrian in the Queen Anne neighborhood late Wednesday.

Shortly before midnight, officers responded to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian in the 400 block of Queen Anne Avenue North.

Officers rendered aid to the victim until Seattle Fire arrived. Despite the efforts provided by police and firefighters, the 53-year-old female died at the scene.

The intersection of Queen Anne Avenue at Republican Street remained closed while detectives with the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) processed the scene. TCIS detectives will continue to lead the investigation.
