#2023-135728/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 5-18-2023 at 0002 hours, multiple callers reported hearing shots in the area of Pine Street and Belmont Avenue. Officers located and recovered evidence of a shooting but found no victims.

#2023-135956/West Precinct/First Watch:

At 0825 hours, police contacted the caller who found 4 semi-automatic rifle rounds in a bag left on the vehicle windshield. They believed this is due to support for gun control.

#2023-136246/South Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1314 hours, officers responded to calls about multiple shots heard. Police located and recovered evidence of a shooting, and determined the gunfire was directed at an occupied residence. No injuries were reported, and the suspects were not located.

#2023-136254/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1321 hours, officers responded to a retail store in the 1400 block of 2nd Avenue for a robbery. The suspect grabbed merchandise and tried to leave the store, then assaulted security when they tried to stop him. The suspect also made a threat to come back and shoot up the store. Officers booked the suspect into KCJ for robbery and felony harassment.

#2023-136351/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1452 hours, officers responded to a male threatening pedestrians with a knife. The male was taken into custody and kicked an officer. The officer was not injured. The suspect was booked into KCJ for assault.

#2023-136502/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1708 hours, an officer requested assistance near 5th Avenue/Madison Street after his patrol car was damaged by a suspect with a baseball bat. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into KCJ for felony vandalism. The patrol car sustained significant damage and was taken out of service.

#2023-136590/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1817 hours, officers responded to reports of an airplane down in the water in the 2700 block of Alaskan Way. The pilot was rescued and transported to HMC with non-life-threatening injuries. The NTSB and FAA were notified.

#2023-136770/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2136 hours, officers were dispatched to a shooting call near S Genesee Street and 36th Avenue S. Police located a victim with a gunshot wound and another victim with a laceration on his head. The victim with the gunshot wound was transported to HMC in stable condition. No suspects were located.
