On 7-26-2023, at 08:25hrs, police responded to a robbery in the 1090 block of Stewart Street within a high-rise building. The suspect ran to the victim’s vehicle and tried to take the car as the victim sat in the driver’s seat. The suspect ran to the passenger side, opened the door, and tried to take the vehicle. During the struggle, the victim accelerated the car. The suspect fell to the ground and sustained injuries from the car. The suspect was alert and conscious and was transported to HMC by AMR for further medical care.
#2023-212161/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 7/26/2023 at approximately 1744hrs, a silver Honda that had been stolen at gun point four days earlier, was being driven recklessly NB on Lake Washington Blvd S at S Horton St. The vehicle crossed the center line and collided head on with an on-coming Mercedes. Both vehicles became engulfed with flames and the juvenile suspects fled on foot possibly getting into another vehicle. Lake Washington Blvd S was temporarily closed while SFD put out the flames and the vehicles were impounded. There were no injuries.
