Detectives Seize an Estimated 30,000 Fentanyl Pills During Narcotics Operation

Seattle Police detectives, along with federal law enforcement partners, seized an estimated 30,000 fentanyl pills and arrested a suspected drug trafficker during a narcotics operation Thursday in Tukwila.

During the months long investigation, narcotics detectives with the Seattle Police Department, special agents assigned to both the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and Homeland Security Investigations, along with members of the Valley Narcotics Enforcement Team, identified a large supplier of fentanyl operating in King County.

On Thursday, officers arrested the 46-year-old male for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Officers executed a search warrant and located the pills in the suspect’s pick-up truck. The approximate street value of the seized narcotics is $200,000.

The suspect was booked into King County Jail, and the case will be prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office.

These arrests highlight the continuing cooperation between the Seattle Police Department and its federal law enforcement partners to interdict illegal narcotics in our community.
