Early yesterday morning, police received a report about a driver possibly stuck in their vehicle after colliding with a streetlight in Georgetown.
Officers arrived around 4:00 a.m. near the intersection of Airport Way South and South Lucille Street and spoke to a witness to the crash.
The witness reported the vehicle was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed along Airport Way South before losing control and crashing into the streetlight.
Seattle Fire extracted the unconscious driver from the driver seat and transported him to Harborview Medical Center. Soon after, police were notified the 28-year-old male succumbed to his injuries while at the hospital.
