#2023-258609/East Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0054 hours, East units responded to a robbery at gun point in the area of 24 AV S and S Charles St. Officers met with the victim at their home where they reported that a suspect approached him in a black sedan and produced a firearm while demanding money. The suspect took the victim’s phone and drove away. WSP located the suspect vehicle related to the robbery on S Irving St, mere blocks from the where this robbery took place. K9 responded to the scene after patrol established a perimeter and conducted a search of the area. No suspect(s) were located.

#2023-258650/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0233 hours, officers responded to the 9200 block of 51 Av S for a report of shots heard and 2-3 people running away. Through the investigation, officers learned that there was a Kia and Hyundai that the unknown 4 suspects were trying to steal. Residents in the area heard shots being fired with the suspects fleeing on foot from the scene. While on scene, Radio updated that someone with a non-life threatening GSW walked into a hospital in Burien. Officers responded to the hospital to gather information from the victim. Officers located 6 9mm shell casings on scene with damage to both the vehicles and a window of a residence. The scene was processed for evidence by patrol.

#2023-258910/South Precinct/First Watch:

At 0914 hours, a suspect in crisis entered the BNSF rail yard and boarded a locomotive and barricaded the doors. A BNSF engineer depressed the deactivation button limiting the functions. BNSF was asked to chalk the line in case the parking brake was released to prevent it from rolling. The suspect was initially unwilling to surrender, but a plan was put together to provide water and items. Suspect exited to get the items then fled on foot but eventually was taken into custody.

#2023-259071/South Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1153 hours, a citizen in the 3500 block of S Holden Street observed two suspects drive up in a black Hyundai sedan. They got out and broke into a blue Kia sedan that was parked in a driveway. Both vehicles drove away eastbound. As they were driving away, the black Hyundai crashed in the 7600 block of 37 AV S. The driver exited the vehicle and got into the blue Kia which left the area. The blue Kia was tracked to a location in Renton. It was eventually recovered unoccupied by Renton PD. The black Hyundai was found with a broken window and a USB cable hanging from the steering column. There was also what appeared to be bullet holes in the vehicle. Detective units were notified, and the Hyundai was taken for processing.
