#2023-271646/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 9-19-2023, at 00:28hrs, police received a report of an assault involving a display of a firearm. The victim reported he was followed by a group of five suspects as he exited the light rail station. The group assaulted the victim, brandished a firearm, and robbed him of his phone. The victim reported the group used racist and homophobic slurs and he believed he was targeted due to his race and sexual orientation. The suspects were not located.

#2023-271709/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 03:59hrs, officers responded to the 600 block of 12th Avenue South for a report of shots fired. Officers arrived and located casings. No suspect information was provided and at the time of the incident no victims were located.

#2023-271722/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

At 05:01hrs, police responded to a collision located near the intersection of 25th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Trenton Street. Officers arrived and saw a male in the driver’s seat with the car running and in drive. Officers were able to get the suspect out of the vehicle and recovered a loaded handgun from the suspect’s waist area. Officers recovered the weapon and completed the DUI investigation. The suspect was arrested for DUI.

#2023-271726/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

At 05:12hrs, a business located in the 9400 block of 35th Avenue Southwest had forced entry to the front of the business. Based on the investigation, the suspect/suspects drove an unknown vehicle through the front door and caused significant damage. It is unknown what was stolen from the business at this time. Officers collected evidence at the scene and completed a search for possible suspects but did not locate any.

#2023-272209/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

At 15:03hrs, officers responded to an attempted carjacking near the intersection of Southwest Spokane Street and Harbor Avenue Southwest. The victim advised that a white Lexus hit the victim’s rear bumper then four male suspects got out and approached her vehicle. One of the suspects pointed a firearm at the victim, while she was inside her vehicle. The victim drove away and called 911. Multiple patrol units and Guardian One searched the area but were unsuccessful in locating the suspects and suspect vehicle.

#2023-272221/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

At 15:09hrs, officers responded to another attempted carjacking near the intersection of Southwest California Street and Harbor Avenue Southwest. The victim advised that a white Lexus hit their rear bumper.  The victim said three male suspects got out of the white Lexus and approached her vehicle. One of the suspects pointed a firearm at the victim driver, while another attempted to open the driver’s side door. The victim drove away and called 911. Multiple patrol units and Guardian One searched the area but were unsuccessful in locating the suspects and suspect vehicle.

#2023-272306/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 16:35hrs, officers responded to the 500 block of 1 Avenue West within moments of a robbery call coming in. The suspect approached the cashier and implied that he had a firearm and asked for money. The suspect made off with approximately $1000 in cash. Police collected evidence at the scene, however the suspect was not located at this time.

#2023-272362/South Precinct/Second Watch:

At 17:21hrs, the two victims drove their car to a nearby business in the 7100 block Martin Luther King Junior Way South. As the victim was exiting her vehicle, a silver or gray vehicle pulled in behind her. Two Black male suspects wearing hoodies exited the vehicle producing handguns and robbed the victim. The suspects were not located at the time of the incident. Police obtained evidence from a business in the area.
