#2023-284025/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0229 hours, Dispatch received a call of shots fired in the 1100 block of Harbor Avenue Southwest. A witness stated that she saw two suspects exit a black hatchback vehicle and fire several shots. The suspects got back inside their vehicle and left Southbound on Harbor Avenue Southwest. Fired cartridge casings were recovered in the area. Officers conducted an area search but didn’t locate the suspects.
#2023-284078/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0446 hours, Dispatch received a call of shots fired in the North 96th and Aurora Avenue North. A witness reported observing someone inside a vehicle firing multiple shots at another vehicle near the intersection. Officers found spent cartridge casings on the street. Police thoroughly searched the area; they could not locate the suspects or the victims.
#2023-284445/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1422 hours, customers, and one victim of a clothing store in the 2600 block of Southwest West Barton Street observed a suspect concealing items in a bag. The victim began recording the suspect who became angry and slapped the phone out of his hand. The victim tackled the suspect but let him up when he agreed to leave the store. As the suspect was leaving, he sprayed the victims with bear spray. The large dispersal of bear spray affected multiple customers and the store had to be temporarily closed. SFD responded to ventilate the store and treat the victim. An area check for the suspect proved negative.
#2023-284201/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2203 hours, officers responded to the 8900 block of Seward Park Avenue South for the reports of shots heard. Officers arrived and canvassed for evidence. An unoccupied victim vehicle was in the 9000 block of Rainier Avenue South with bullet damage. Witnesses told officers that a black vehicle with four suspects followed the victim into the parking lot and opened fired on the victim’s vehicle. The victim exited the vehicle and fled the area before officers arrived. A short time later officers located the victim that was not injured. Shell casings and multiple bullet fragments were recovered at the scene of the shooting. A nearby business was also struck multiple times.
