#2023-292322/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At approximately 0110 hours, multiple calls were generated in the 9800 block of 48 Av Sw, where two drivers were essentially joyriding at high speeds, loudly, in a residential neighborhood. The two drivers, said to be in their teens, lost control of their vehicles, side-swiping several parked cars, before eventually losing control of one of their vehicles, abandoning it on residential property, and fleeing on foot. The abandoned vehicle was thought to be an unreported stolen out of Tacoma, but Tacoma PD was unable to confirm this. An area check for the suspects was negative.
#2023-292367/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At approximately 0250 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of a commercial burglary located at a local cannabis retail shop. Radio dispatched that a vehicle drove into the closed business, the suspects exited the store and left Southbound in another waiting vehicle. Officers arrived and observed a red Hyundai that appears to be an un-reported stolen vehicle inside the business, and all suspects were GOA. An extensive area check was performed with the assistance of WSP with negative results for the fleeing vehicle. The scene was processed, and photos were taken and uploaded.
#2023-293295/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At about 2219 Hrs, multiple witnesses called 911 to report shots fired at NW 90th St / 15 Ave NW. Patrol responded and located multiple shell casings and an unfired round, all of the same caliber. A neighboring resident reported that their home was struck by the gun fire. There were no known injuries. Patrol processed the scene.
#2023-293232/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At about 2101 Hrs, officers responded to a a report of a male victim who had been attacked with an axe in the 14100 block of Linden Av N. The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition. Officers recovered the weapon, but were unable to locate the suspect. Follow-up units were notified.
