#2023-297813/South Precinct/First Watch:
At 0921 hrs a subject was sleeping under a large piece of cardboard in the 2200 block of Airport Way South. A landscape maintenance crew arrived and began to use leaf blowers. They awakened the subject not knowing a person was under the cardboard. Subject was angered by this. He confronted one of the landscape maintenance employees calling him a derogatory name. Subject then picked up a rock and chased after the victim. Subject then chased him more after pulling a military K-bar knife out. Suspect was arrested and booked into KCJ.
#2023-297871/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At approximately 1230 hrs, a planned, unpermitted rally in support of Palestine occurred at Westlake Park. The group gathered and made speeches for about an hour prior to marching. The group utilized their own bike and car brigade while they marched. The group marched from Westlake Park to 5 Ave/Columbia St and back to Westlake Park making several stops for speeches along the way. At the height of the demonstration the crowd size was approximately 1200 people. No significant counter protest occurred, and no arrests were made.
#2023-298098/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1532 hours, officers responded to a Vietnamese temple for a report of a suspect in the area with a stick swinging at people. Officers arrived, and witnessed the male assault a woman walking along the sidewalk. Upon contact of the male he began coming at the officers with the bamboo stick. He ended up assaulting the officers and had a shard blade shaped piece of a CD in his hand. He was eventually arrested and taken to KCJ for Assault on an Officer.
#2023-298095/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1645 hours, officers responded to a call of a client at a facility who had assaulted staff and was throwing a chair around a lobby. Staff was forced to barricade themselves inside their office to avoid any further assaults by the client. When officers arrived, the arrestee had a chair in her hand. Officers made entry into the lobby and the arrestee attempted to swing the chair at Officers. The Officers were able to deflect the chair and the arrestee then attempted to punch the Officer. Officers took the arrestee into custody.
#2023-298392/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2117hrs officers were dispatched to the area of 3 Ave and Pike St on reports of a high/intoxicated male armed with a large butcher knife who was threatening people on the street. Additional updates came in stating that the suspect had stabbed the tires on a vehicle and was leaving the original location with a complainant following. Officers arrived in the area of 2 Ave and Olive St and were directed toward the suspect by the complainant. As offices addressed the suspect, who was still armed with the knife, he threw it toward officers striking one of them and the complainant. Officers took the suspect into custody without further incident. The complainant and Officer were not injured. 253 was notified of the assault on the officer. The suspect was booked into KCJ for Assault 3, Assault 4, Felony Harassment, Property Destruction, and Possession of a Knife or Dangerous Weapon.
#2023-298287/South Precinct/Third Watch:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call in South Seattle, the caller reported seeing a suspect shoot out of a vehicle. When officers arrived the suspect vehicle was gone. Officers located property damage to a nearby middle school. Officers also located two fragmented rounds, one on the ground and one stuck in a window frame on the school.
