#2023-311143/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 0907 hours, West Precinct officers responded to a burglary at a nonprofit organization in the 1900 block of 3rd Ave. Officers investigated and observed that the office had been ransacked. The scene had no obvious signs of forced entry and nothing of value was taken. Employees believe that the incident was politically motivated due to their pro-public safety stance. GIU, Public Affairs, and the bias crimes coordinator were notified.
#2023-311867/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2217 hours, victim was standing outside the Planet Fitness waiting for their ride home when a unknown sedan pulled up in front and three unknown suspects with ski masks got out of the car and started to approach the victim and friends. The victim observed the masked suspects exit the vehicle and decided it was best to move. The victim and friends started to jog away from the business front and turned and realized the suspects were giving chase. The suspects attempted to grab the backpack of the victim but was ultimately unsuccessful. The victim ran and hid at a nearby business and called 911. Robbery unit detectives were contacted about the incident.
