Five Arrested in Stolen Vehicle Operation

SPD’s Community Response Group officers conducted a stolen vehicle operation in the New Holly, Georgetown and Rainier Valley neighborhoods.

On Friday October 28th, police began their patrols in the South end where the crime of possessing a stolen vehicle has been prevalent.

Police arrested five suspects during this operation. Each of these suspects were found within a stolen vehicle. Officers conducted record checks of suspicious vehicles in the areas by running license plates and VIN numbers. One of the vehicles had just been stolen earlier in the day but a report had not yet been completed.

Three male suspects – ages 29, 31, 32 – were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle. Two of these males had additional charges. The 31-year-old for his outstanding felony warrant and the 32-year-old for possession of narcotics with intent to deliver.

The other two arrests were a 29-year-old female suspect for her outstanding DOC warrant and a 22-year-old male for his DUI warrant.

All suspects were booked into King County Jail. The female suspect will be booked once medically cleared.
