Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested After Vehicle Pursuit

Seattle Police with the assistance of King County Sheriff’s Office air support pursued and apprehended two robbery suspects in South Seattle Wednesday afternoon.

Shortly after 2:00 p.m., police received reports of a robbery at gunpoint in the 5200 block of 39th Avenue South. While en route, officers received a second report of a robbery in the 3000 block of South Mount Baker Boulevard. Police contacted both victims and learned the suspect and vehicle descriptions were the same.

Officers flooded the area and located the vehicle near the intersection of 39th Avenue South and South Graham Street. Police initiated a traffic stop, the suspect vehicle attempted to elude officers, and after a brief pursuit the suspect vehicle crashed.

The suspects fled the scene of the crash and ran from officers, police apprehended two and one is outstanding.

Both the 12-year-old and 14-year-old male suspects were transported to the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children and Family Justice Center for investigation of robbery.
