#2023-358542/East Precinct/First Watch:

On 12/14/23 ART was conducting an Obstruction clean with the Seattle Parks Department at Cal Anderson Park. Officers were confronted by 11 activists who refused to leave the work zone established by the Parks Dept. Officers made the decision to affect an arrest on one of the activists. Immediately the other activists jumped in to unarrest the subject. This led to another arrest and a line was set up to keep the remainder of the activists back. Two arrests were made with one I&R’d and one booked into KCJ.

#2023-359106/South Precinct/Second Watch:

South Precinct patrol Officers observed a vehicle stolen in an armed carjacking. The driver matched the description of the suspect in the original crime. Pursuit of the suspect vehicle was authorized by a supervisor. After approval of a supervisor, a pit maneuver was attempted on the suspect vehicle. The pit maneuver failed to immobilize the suspect vehicle. The pursuit continued onto southbound I-5. The suspect vehicle collided with a uninvolved vehicle causing an injury to the uninvolved vehicle’s driver’s arm. Both the driver and a passenger of the uninvolved vehicle were transported to the hospital to be assessed for injuries. The suspect vehicle continued south. Officers located the suspect vehicle unoccupied. A K-9 track was conducted with negative results.

#2023-359225/South Precinct/Third Watch:

Officers responded to a home invasion call in South Beacon Hill. The victim reported that two armed suspects followed her into her residence and demanded money. The suspects left the residence without stealing anything. The suspects then fled in a silver SUV. The Robbery Unit was notified.

#2023-358952/East Precinct/Second Watch:

Approximately 200 people gathered at the University Bridge during rush hour for a peaceful Pro Palestine march. The group blocked traffic at the bridge for approximately two and half hours. CRG, Patrol from East Precinct and North Precinct were utilized. Car 24 was notified.
