#2023-365476/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-21-2023, at 02:41hrs, police responded to a report of a burglary in the 2600 block of Southwest Barton Street. Officers arrived and found a KIA sedan had been reversed into the entry doors of a business in Westwood Village. Once inside the store, the burglars stole various game consoles before fleeing in a second vehicle. All three suspects were described to be Black males wearing masks, hooded sweatshirts, black pants, and black shoes. The keyholders of the business responded after the building was cleared by police. The vehicle used to break into the business was abandoned and an unreported stolen. It was impounded for evidence processing. No further information at this time.
#2023-365538/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
At 04:50hrs, officers responded to a report of a domestic violence assault in the 9300 block of Fauntleroy Way Southwest. Officers contacted the victim and established probable cause for assault and violation of protection order. Officers learned the suspect and the victim’s daughter were both still inside the home. Officers contacted the suspect who remained inside the home, however, the suspect retreated inside and stopped communicating with police. A perimeter surrounding the home was established and a request for HNT and SWAT was made. SWAT was able to evacuate the victim’s (adult) daughter from the home. Following several hailing attempts the suspect exited the house and was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was booked into KCJ. The victim was transported to HMC via AMR.
