Police are looking for a suspect and a 36-year-old male is in stable condition after being stabbed during a robbery Downtown Tuesday night.
Shortly after 7:00 p.m., officers responded reports of a male stabbed in the 800 block of 3rd Avenue. Police arrived and located a male victim with an apparent stab wound. The victim was treated on scene by Seattle Fire Department personnel then transported to Harborview Medical Center.
Officers learned the victim was working at a Downtown business when the suspect entered the store and stole beer. The victim confronted the suspect, and they fought over the merchandise. During the altercation, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Robbery detectives will be leading the investigation.
