#2024-022864/West Precinct/First Watch:

At 0748 hours, West Bikes checked on a planned demonstration in the 1200 blk of 2 Av. There were approximately 50 protesters, 6 bike brigade members and 10 vehicles. The vehicle parked in the roadway blocking entrance to the parking garage, and the protesters split between the parking garage and the front entrance of the building. Several occupants of the building call 9-1-1 and/or complained to officers on scene about the restriction of their ability to move about freely. Demonstrators used umbrellas and banners to hide behind while slogans were scrawled on the building and fliers were glued to the walls and windows. The demonstration broke up around 1130hrs. 214, Traffic, Media advised.

#2024-022414/East Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1743 hours a King County Metro bus was traveling in the 1600 blk of S Jackson St when an oncoming vehicle attempted a left hand turn directly in its path. In order to avoid the accident, the bus swerved, lost control, and crashed into a building. The building was heavily damaged, but no injuries were reported. All passengers were moved to another bus line without incident. TCIS notified.

#2024-023251/South Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1519 hours, an armed suspect robbed the victim of a package. The suspect was armed with a hammer. After an extensive area search, patrol officers located the suspect and arrested him. The suspect had a robbery warrant from a different jurisdiction. The suspect was booked into KCJ.

#2024-023318/South Precinct/Second Watch:

A South Precinct Officer was flagged down for a report of an armed robbery. The suspect was armed with scissors. Officers located the suspect at the underground light rail station. The suspect was arrested and booked into KCJ.

#2024-023063/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1100 hours, a group gathered at Westlake Park and then conducted a short march to McGraw Park and then to the 1900 block of 5 Ave outside the Westin. At its height, the group was about 100 people. They remained on the sidewalk the entire time and did not disrupt traffic. The group was focused on an event taking place inside a nearby business. Two individuals became confrontational with the group, but POET was able to de-escalate the situation. No other issues occurred. The event concluded at 1330 hours. CRG, POET and West Bikes monitored the event.
