A man stabbed multiple times is in critical condition after an assault Tuesday morning.
Around 5:00 a.m., police responded to an area near 27th Avenue South and South Winthrop Street and found a man with multiple stab wounds. Seattle firefighters were already on scene providing medical care to the 45-year-old victim. He was later transported to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment.
The details have not yet been confirmed as to what led up to the stabbing. The suspect was described to be a Hispanic male with tattoos on his arms. He was seen fleeing from the location prior to police arriving.
Officers canvassed the area for any evidence that could possibly lead them to the suspect, but did not find him. Homicide detectives will be lead in the follow up investigation.
