Officer responded to a collision involving a marked patrol vehicle and a DUI driver in the 2200 block of 15th Avenue West.
Saturday shortly before 11:00 p.m., officers arrived and located a collision with a patrol car and another vehicle.
The male officer was a DUI driving southbound on 15th Avenue West and a 31-year-old male driver turn from West Boston Street and crossed into oncoming southbound traffic. The officer swerved to avoid a head on collision but collided with the DUI driver.
The officer and the male driver were assessed at the scene by the Seattle Fire Department. The man was cleared by medics and the officer went to the hospital for a further evaluation.
The driver was arrested at the scene, transported to King County Jail, and booked for investigation of DUI.
