2024-072062/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0012 hours, the driver was driving at the 1200 BLK of Alki Ave SW and drove up on the curb, grass, walkway, and struck the water. SFD and Harbor responded to the scene. The suspect was rescued from the water and placed in custody for DUI. Harbor will recover the vehicle from the water.
2024-072058/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0006 hours officers were dispatched to a call of about 12 gunshots heard in the area of 8500 8 Av NW. Officers arrived. They spoke with the witness. Officers located approximately 15 shell casings and one damaged vehicle. About 45 minutes after the initial call, Edmonds PD reported a gunshot victim at Swedish Edmonds. Edmonds PD reported the person stated he was shot in Seattle but refused to talk with them. Officers went to Edmonds Swedish, however the person shot refused to provide any information. Evidence was collected. GVRU was notified.
2024-072398/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1132 hours Officers were called to a report of a down male in a a running vehicle with no plates in the area of the 11500 block 4 Av Nw. Officers arrived and located the vehicle occupied by a male and female both passed out. Officers placed terminators under three of the tires and called for additional officers. While waiting for additional resources to arrive, the driver woke up. Officers activated their lights and siren to conduct the stop and the driver drove off, resulting in a 3X successful terminator deployment. The vehicle limped away at a very slow speed for approximately 2 blocks before becoming completely disabled. The driver attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended. The vehicle was confirmed stolen and the driver was arrested. The female had a felony warrant and was also arrested.
2024-072633/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1600 hours Officers were dispatched to a call about a male asleep inside of a running vehicle at an apartment complex parking lot in the 10700 block of Roosevelt Wy NE. Officers arrived and observed that the drivers door was open. Officers placed terminators under the tires and began to give the suspect commands to exit the vehicle. The suspect remained asleep. Officers then removed the suspect from the drivers seat without incident. The vehicle was confirmed stolen and the driver had multiple felony warrants out of Snohomish County and DOC. The suspect was booked for possession of stolen vehicle and the warrants.
