#2024-91141/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1209 hours, SPD Officers were dispatched to an unknown disturbance called in by apartment staff members. Officers arrived on scene and upon entering the lobby area were approached by both involved parties of the disto. While attempting to separate both parties in order to investigate the incident, one of the involved parties continued towards the other involved party and refused to separate themselves. Officers attempted to place the subject into handcuffs, and he became resistive. Male was transported from the scene to HMC for ITA and related treatment. FIT responded to the scene and conducted their related UoF investigation.
#2024-091215/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1329 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of a person shooting a dog. Officers arrived and located the deceased pet and the owner. Officers were able to contact the suspect who admitted to shooting the dog. The suspect was arrested and booked for investigation of animal cruelty with the elements for the misdemeanor crimes of unlawful discharge of a firearm and unlawful carry present as well. A firearm was recovered as well as a single fired 9mm cartridge case. Animal control responded to the scene.
#2024-091208/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1317 hours, radio broadcast that a robbery with a knife had just occurred near the north gate mall. The victim stated they had been robbed of cash by a suspect with a knife and then gave a suspect description. Officers in the area immediately found a person matching the suspect description. Upon attempted contact, the suspect ran from officers and a foot chase ensued. Officers were able to chase the suspect until the suspect tired and surrendered without incident. The suspect was arrested and booked into KCJ for investigation of robbery.
