Juvenile in Stable Condition After Shooting in North Seattle

Police are investigating after a male was shot in North Seattle early Friday morning.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m., 911 received a report that a male was shot twice. Police arrived at Sand Point Way Northeast and Northeast 74th Street and found a 16-year-old boy suffering from two gunshot wounds to the chest area.

Seattle Fire Department arrived and provided aid to the victim. The male was transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition. 

The victim told police that he was walking past a bus stop in the Northgate area when he was shot by an unidentified suspect. Following the shooting a friend drove the victim from Northgate to Sand Point Way Northeast and Northeast 74th Street.

Details surrounding the exact location of the shooting are still unclear. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the crime scene.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown at this time and are under investigation. No suspect has been identified.
